Where are appropriate and appropriate places to flirt with women?

Some people say that it is not o.k. to flirt / ask a woman out when she is at work? From a womans point of view, what do you all like and when? How do you let a guy know that you like him that you have only seen for the first time? let us guys into your world of wonders!Where are appropriate and appropriate places to flirt with women?
I know from experience that having someone hit on you at work can be very awkward. It causes all sorts of hassles and drama which are usually a distraction. I would stick to neutral places where you can get to really know a person without constantly having a boss breathing down your neck.

Call me old fashioned but work is a place to work (and spend time on Yahoo answers) not pick up.

Get involved in community/social groups where you can get to know her as her and not her job...Where are appropriate and appropriate places to flirt with women?
Anywhere you can in good taste! try making a friend first so you are seen as trustworthy by the woman you desire she will give you the sign when it is OK to flirt with her

See the movie wedding crashers it is a funny look at flirting with women.

Hope this helps
Anywhere is ok... but remember to start off with a good, delightful convo before getting into the flirting
Well it would be appropriate if we were lively and not your enemy..
you owe it to yourself to ask any woman out that you are interested in ....anywhere you find her...

You might not get another chance....

The work thing is out the door cause people don't really say with one company for too long anymore...

good woman hunting
any where, any time, any place...unless its at a wedding and she is the one getting married. That might be a little odd.
I would say it's appropriate to flirt almost anywhere... common sense would rule out 'at her husband's funeral' or 'while she's performing surgery'... but virtually any other social situation should be fine! And work too... unless she's your subordinate.
